SUNDOWNER EVENT
On Friday, December 29th we are cooking up a special sundowner event to start your New Year’s weekend celebrations. There will be live music from Jacob Pihema for you to enjoy as the sun goes down. Our kitchen will be open later than usual to help celebrate this with the closing time at 8 pm on this special day.
Whether you’re a regular visitor or joining us for the first time, this event is a fantastic opportunity to experience the unique charm of the Lobster Shack. Enjoy the scenic beauty of Cervantes, the delightful sea breeze, and the company of friends and family as you dine and unwind. This sundowner event is not just about great food and music; it’s an experience that celebrates the joy of the season and the anticipation of the New Year. Sea Lion Tours:
Immerse yourself in the extraordinary as you witness one of the world’s rarest seals up close and personal on our Sea Lion tours. Lasting around 90 minutes, these tours offer you the unique option to swim with these special creatures, capturing that perfect holiday snapshot. Witness the Sea Lions in their natural habitat, experiencing firsthand their playful and beautiful nature.
Cervantes, with its white sandy beaches and turquoise waters teeming with marine life, is the perfect getaway for you and your family. Our magical Sea Lion tour takes you to the islands around Cervantes, home to one of the world’s rarest seals.
Upon reaching the Cervantes Islands, we approach the shore as the Sea Lions start their captivating display. These unique and playful creatures leap and somersault out of the water, providing hours of entertainment for visitors.
For those inclined to swim (maximum 45 minutes), we offer snorkel sets on board or feel free to bring your own. Please bring your towels as they are not provided at this time. The Lobster Shack follows an “Enter at Own Risk” policy for passengers choosing to swim, while non-swimmer ticket holders are strictly prohibited from entering the water.
During your Sea Lion experience, we provide some light refreshments onboard, and you can enhance your experience with optional upgrades, including lunch back at the Lobster Shack and live lobsters to take home.
Bookings are essential, and tours will only proceed in favourable weather conditions. Minimum passenger numbers are necessary for each tour, and in case of unsafe weather or insufficient bookings, you’ll have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund. We strive to provide at least 24 hours notice for any changes or cancellations, ensuring your safety and enjoyment throughout your Sea Lion adventure.
SUP Board Hire: Experience the charm of Cervantes with Lobster Shack’s Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) adventure. A brief on-land introduction prepares you to navigate the tranquil waters, providing serene views of the coastline.
