[:en]While the Western New Year’s celebrations are well and truly over, now is your chance to experience the wonder and excitement of Chinese New Year! Come celebrate The Year of the Pig with us on February 9th 2019 with live entertainment all day and your favourite seafood dishes on the menu. Last year was a sell-out event so don’t wait to book your table!
This wouldn’t be a stellar Chinese New Year event without our traditional Chinese Lion and Dragon Dancers who will be performing for guests from 12pm. Get down early so you can get the best spot for photos of these colourful creatures! They really are a must-see attraction.
This is the perfect opportunity for a road trip with your closest friends and family. As always, our famously fresh seafood will be on the menu all day but let us tell you that the hardest part is choosing what to have. Grilled garlic BBQed lobster? Half a kilo of freshly steamed Carnarvon prawns on ice? Maybe abalone or fresh oysters tickle your fancy? Don’t worry, you wouldn’t be the first to order a bit of everything and share amongst your group. Whatever your food choice, you can kick back, relax and enjoy your lunch listening to live acoustic music all weekend.
Maybe you are thinking about taking the little ones to enjoy the festivities also. Great idea! we have activities running all day to keep them entertained as well as a special kiddies food menu. A favourite with the kids is our giant bouncy castle and maybe even Bobby the Lobby will make a special appearance.
Don’t forget, Lobster Shack is less than 2 hours’ drive from Perth CBD and the perfect spot for a summer day trip (if it’s good enough for Roger Federer, then it’s good enough for us) 😉
Happy Chinese New Year everyone!
Oh and here are some fun facts about those born during the year of the pig! Are they accurate?
Men born in the Pig year are optimistic and gentle. They are very focused. Once they decide on a goal, they’ll put everything into it.
They are not the best with money. Though cool-headed, they are also gullible. They trust others easily and are often scammed. This can cause them to lose a fortune.
Women born in the Pig year are full of excitement. They attend social events whenever possible and treat everyone genuinely. Combined with their easy-going personality, they gain everyone’s trust.
However, they are sometimes over-friendly. In their excitement, they can forget to give others personal space.
